Davines Essential Haircare MINU Shampoo is a gentle color-protecting shampoo for colored hair. It gently cleanses while helping preserve vibrant color and leaving hair soft, smooth & shiny.
The vegan-friendly formula uses chelating action to remove dulling residues, including metals & minerals from hard water, which can compromise color shine. Regenerative Organic Certified™ green coffee extract helps protect hair from oxidative stress linked to color fading. The formula contains 91.9% natural origin ingredients & 98.5% biodegradable ingredients.
Biodegradability is calculated as the sum of the percentages of readily biodegradable ingredients according to the OECD 301 method.
Instrumental testing on hair locks exposed to UV light or repeated washing showed color vibrancy lasting for up to 4 weeks when using the full MINU routine, compared with a control shampoo without color-protecting benefits. The tested routine included MINU Shampoo, MINU Conditioner or MINU Mask, and MINU Milk. This result should not be interpreted as an effect from MINU Shampoo alone.
A separate instrumental test on hair locks exposed to Fe, Cu, Mg & Ca showed that MINU Shampoo effectively removes hard water metals compared with a control formula without chelating action.
